3. At one particular world-renowned venue, Augusta National, where The Master's tournament is held every year for professional golfers, there is discrimination of women into the club. .

4. Women golfers have just as many rights to play at any golf course they choose to play at, but there is still a problem today with a "private men's only club" discriminating against women. .

5. I would like to give you an overview of what has gone on the past few years regarding this particular issue. .


I. Why can we not participate.

A. Martha Burk, chair of the National Council of Women's Organizations, voices her opinion about discrimination at Augusta National. .

B. Some big names included on the roster members at Augusta are members of Congress, a former Secretary of State, and top executives from Coca-Cola, Motorola, Citigroup, JP Morgan, Chase and other corporations.

C. The management and leadership of these groups all express "diversity" within their organizations, so how could these executives and high ranking officials accept the discriminatory policies held at Augusta .
